Our Ethos and Christian Values
Encourage one another and build each other up.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Our vision is that every child will have the best opportunities and learning experiences as they progress through Peppard C of E Primary School.
Our school provides an environment where our children are nurtured and in turn encouraged to nurture each other so that they can achieve fully in a safe and caring environment.
Values
Our school values help to make our vision a reality; they are ingrained into every aspect of our school life. They underpin our commitment to giving every child the best opportunities to learn and become lifelong learners and they are the foundation of the education we offer here at Peppard. Our values were chosen by our pupils and staff working together. They are:
- Compassion – To feel for those who are hurting, and then to turn our feelings into actions to help them
- Humility – To regard others with respect and be willing to hear their stories
- Thankfulness – To recognise the gifts we have been given and to allow our gratitude to make us joyful
- Courage – To be willing to do or say the right thing even when we feel afraid
- Forgiveness – To offer forgiveness to those who have hurt us, knowing that there will be times when we will have to ask for forgiveness
- Perseverance – To be committed to stay the course, even when it is hard
Whilst these values are woven together into everyday school life, each term we choose one value to form the focus of our life as a school community. Our values shape who we are and what we do together.
